MJ Creative Experience

Hi! My name is Michael Johnston, but you can call me MJ.

 

I discovered the importance of art at an early age, exploring a range of pottery, photography, and drawing/painting classes and receiving helpful instruction at school. 

 

The pursuit of creativity became a lifelong passion in both my personal and professional life. I would spend 25 years as a creative in the advertising industry, the majority of the time working within the healthcare agency networks of McCann-Erickson and Ogilvy.

During my tenure, I helped to create, refine, and launch the creative identities of multiple brands, from everyday healthcare consumer products to innovative therapies across the anti-infective, oncology, and antidepressant categories.

 

This work appeared in a wide range of leading physician journals--including the New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of Clinical Oncology, and Clinical Infectious Diseases--and received numerous advertising honors, including print/video/interactive Rx Club and Communicator Awards.

I've happily retired from my agency career and have fully returned to my artistic beginnings. I'm thrilled to explore this creative avenue and work with those who are passionate about bringing artistry to life.
